We’ve been monitoring grooved brain coral for spawning activity the past month as volunteers with Reef Renewal Bonaire. If you’re not familiar with them, check them out, they’re doing some amazing work here on Bonaire restoring our reefs! So what does monitoring entail?
You never know what you’ll see on any given dive! This was just a routine dive at a site we like to go to in town. If we had a home dive site, this would be one of them. There are three frogfish there that we’ve been visiting for a while that recently spawned, Read More
I hope you’re healthy and safe wherever you are in the world! This is an unprecedented event in all of our lifetimes so it’d be weird not to be stressed out by these uncertain times. We’ve been finding so many gorgeous little froggies lately! I love discovering new ones just as much as going back to visit past finds to see how they’re doing and what they’re up to. Woah, that was a close one! We got our sedulas with days to spare! That’s not to say we were going to get deported but if we didn’t get them this week but the process was about to get far more annoying. I don’t want to muddy up the original post with our saga, Read More
