Key Largo – too windy to dive? We gotcha covered.

If you’re in the upper keys on a windy day, it might limit your ocean going dive & fishing excursions but it could be just right to sail on the bayside!

We had a great time renting the sailing kayaks from Florida Bay Outfitters next to the Caribbean Club. I have no affiliation with them other than that they’re a super cool local place and we bought our much loved kayaks from them. You don’t need any experience to sail these, you’ll be on your way after a quick lesson!

Bring a change of clothes (you will get wet!) and make an afternoon out of it! Once you’re done sailing you’re in the middle of some great food and drink options. You could grab a beer at the ‘famous’ Caribbean Club (it’s really just a funky open air dive bar – one of our favorite sunset spots!) or something to eat at Sundowners or Señor Frijoles – you can’t go wrong with either one.
