Happy New Year 2015!
Happy New Year everyone!
Today seems like a fitting day for our first post! It’s a day for new beginnings and we’ll be working toward some huge life changes in 2015! If all goes as planned, 2015 will be our last full year in the states for a long time, maybe forever. It’s a freezing cold start to the year here in the mid-Atlantic, only in the high 20s. People aren’t meant to live this way, at least we weren’t! More about that later, first we should introduce ourselves.
We’re a couple of professionals in our late 30s who are ready to leave the daily grind behind and start living our lives doing what we love. For us, that means making some pretty big changes including selling our house, all of our stuff and moving to another country. We’re both passionate about travel, nature, wildlife, the environment, diving and just being outside! We can’t stand to spend much more of our lives stuck inside an office building working under artificial lighting. It’s such an unnatural way of life, so we’ve decided to make a move! Join us as we trade in our professional clothes for flip flops, t-shirts, shorts & wetsuits and our car for a bike or maybe a scooter.
What will we be posting about? Well, a bit of everything! Our travels, plans, budgets, research, visas, insurance (travel, health, expat, etc). We’ve learned so much from travel blogs and it’s time to pay it forward to the next batch of people looking for a new adventure. We’ll also be posting about other things we love, so be on the lookout for posts on recipes, books, music, nature, wildlife and whatever else is on our minds at the time.
Only our closest friends and a few family members know of our plans to go where it’s warm, so we’ll be coming to you anonymously for now.
Thanks for joining us on our quest to go where it’s warm!
Warm thoughts to all!
