We’re Really Doing This!

Our house listing went live today and we already have a showing request for tomorrow. We’re ready for it to sell & we’re not at the same time. Holy roller coaster of emotions over here lately! Getting the transition phase over with will be nice though. We’re slightly worried about finding a rental in the Keys too, the inventory is already dwindling as snowbirds start making their winter plans. I know it seems early for that but that’s how it is down there so we’ll feel better once our house is sold and we have a rental lined up. Change isn’t easy and this is the biggest life change we’ve made since we moved here. Somehow listing our house made everything official. It’s go time. Hard to back out now.

I went to the dentist today for my 6-month cleaning and it was the first time in 11 years I walked out of there without my next appointment in hand. We’re really leaving & it’s sinking in.

I found this blog yesterday – Prescription4Change – and it helped to read about their moving experience when I couldn’t sleep at 5am this morning. It’s always nice to know that you’re not alone & to read about other people’s experiences.

More to come. It’s pretty cold here with yet more rain in the forecast. That helps solidify our decision. Last night we flipped through all of our Keys pics from the winter too, that also helped. We have to keep the stoke alive & our eye on the prize during the tough times! We’re also both a bit on edge – understandably so. I really have to work at not being snappy when I’m this stressed.
